Bruce the Chihuahua August 2010
Chihuahua’s are well known for being little dogs with big attitudes and my little Bruce is no exception. Recently on a visit from our home in Sydney to my parents property near Grafton little Bruce decided to take on a red cattle dog, unfortunately Bruce come out second best. His little eye popped right out of his head. This was by far the worst day of my life. Not only was it a horrific thing to see but also extremely upsetting for me as little Bruce and his girlfriend Missi are like my children. My dad rushed us to Riverbank Animal Hospital, he assured me they were the best in town and he was right. From the moment I arrived and met Chris I knew Bruce was in good hands. The next day we went back in to check on Bruce and the staff were all amazing. I could tell that they had fallen in love with my little man. I was told that they had put him to bed the night before with a big fluffy blanket and a hot water bottle. It was very comforting to know that the people looking after my boy were spoiling him just as much as I would have at home. When picking Bruce up a few days later Chris gave us his email address so we could keep him updated with Bruce’s recovery once back in Sydney. We relied a lot on Chris once we got back to Sydney as we had conflicting advice from different vets and were very confused as to what action to take with Bruce’s treatment. Chris was there ready to help out which meant the world to us and thanks to Chris’s advice Bruce’s eye is recovering well. To Chris and all of the staff we cannot thank you enough for all you have done for us.
