Over the last few months Dr Chris has seen a lot of Suzie, a 12 year old smooth haired Dachshund. She has had many problems and was suspected of having bowel cancer. She had been very depressed, not eating, vomiting, loosing weight and had intermittent diarrhoea.
Suzie's owner, John was worried as to how his other Dachshund would go when the sad day came that Suzie passed away as his other dog had always had her as a companion. Dr Chris suggested that John might like to consider introducing a new puppy now to ease the distress later on. John did just that and pictured above is Suzie with 12 week old GG. Apparently GG stands for "Gorgeous Girl" or "Garbage Guts".
Since the new arrival Suzie has been a lot brighter and her appetite has also improved. The three of them are getting along really well and I heard last week that there is another arrival expected soon!
