Here is some Essential Advice!
There are THREE essential things that your new puppy or kitten needs to keep them safe and healthy:
- MICROCHIP IMPLANT
- PARASITE CONTROL
When should vaccination be done?
Vaccinations can generally be started at 6 weeks of age for puppies and eight weeks of age for kittens.
Your puppy or kitten could be at risk of contracting one of several infectious diseases that could be fatal, vaccination is their only protection! Parvo virus is particularly common in Grafton and South Grafton. Puppies can only complete their parvo virus vaccination from 10 weeks of age. Why is microchip implant so important?
Micro chipping is a means of permanently identifying a pet so that if it becomes lost it can be re united with his or her owner. Far too many lost pets are euthanased each week at the pound because an owner cannot be located. Microchip implant is also your proof of ownership in case a pet is stolen. We strongly recommend that microchips are only implanted by qualified trained profesionals within a veterinary practice.
Parasite control means worming and flea control; essential for the wellbeing of your puppy or kitten. Your veterinarian is the best person to turn to for advice on what products to use, when to begin and how often to repeat treatments.
