How social is your puppy?
It is a sad fact that more dogs are euthanased each year due to bad behavior than die from infectious disease!
Just like with our kids, puppies have to learn from a young age how to socialize with other animals and people. Dogs often show aggression due to fear because they have not learnt at a young age how to deal with situations that they do not need to be fearful of. This means that puppies need to be exposed to as many sights and sounds at a young age so that they can get used to things.
Modern vaccinations now allow puppies to complete their vaccination course as early as 10 weeks of age which means that from 12 weeks of age it can be quite safe to start taking them out and about.
A brilliant way to start your puppy off on the right track is to come along to our puppy pre-school. This is a four week course, run at the veterinary clinic in South Grafton on Monday evenings. Here your puppy will have a fun time interacting with other pups in a safe environment and will start to learn some basic training commands. Lots of useful information is packed into the hour long session each week and all for the bargain price of $55 for the three week course!
If you would like to come along you must pre book as spaces are limited and courses fill fast. Phone us today to secure your space. Your puppy will thank you for it! Phone Riverbank Animal Hospital today on 6642 3083 for more information about puppy preschool in South Grafton.
